Processing the news around us has been far from easy. So here\u2019s a different kind of offering, with words and paint, this one is called \u2014 Flowers.<\/p>\n<p><em>It rained last night,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>From a monsoon sky,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Soaked my soil,<\/em><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\n<em>Burrowed its way<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Deep into my heart,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Until I was swollen&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Dark earth,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Bubbled bright,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And it hurt<\/em><br \/>\n<em>To be brimming with such<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Discomfort<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But I am the Earth<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And I cannot run,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>My job is to receive<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The anguish carried<\/em><br \/>\n<em>In every drop,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>To hold the weight of<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Suffering.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy dear clouds<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Will you stop now?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I am almost full<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Of sorrow,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>My fields are flooded,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>My mountains torn,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Stop now,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Come perhaps tomorrow?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The sky does not answer,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The rain will not relent,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I am the Earth,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>It is my job<\/em><br \/>\n<em>To stand steady<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And repent<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For the sins of man,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>My children,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Waging war,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>For centuries,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Armies in the rain,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Tearing bonds,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Breaking ties,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>They cannot hear<\/em><br \/>\n<em>My cries<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Over the deluge:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou are the children<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Of Earth and Sky<\/em><br \/>\n<em>From where you came,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And where you die,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Stop this hate!<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Stop destruction!<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Don\u2019t you see?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>You are all shades<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Of Me!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But the thunder is loud,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And my children blind,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>They drown me in the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Colour of blood,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I see crimson,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Weaving it\u2019s way,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Deep into my heart,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>From where I must begin again,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Tomorrow,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Or perhaps the day after,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>When the pain ends,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And flowers can grow.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/poetry?epa=HASHTAG\" data-ft=\"{&quot;type&quot;:104,&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;*N&quot;}\">#poetry<\/a>\u00a0<a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/digitalart?epa=HASHTAG\" data-ft=\"{&quot;type&quot;:104,&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;*N&quot;}\">#digitalart<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I haven\u2019t been able to make much music recently.
