I haven\u2019t been able to make much music recently. Processing the news around us has been far from easy. So here\u2019s a different kind of offering, with words and paint, this one is called \u2014 Flowers.<\/p>\n

\nIn every drop,<\/em>
\nTo hold the weight of<\/em>
\nSuffering.<\/em><\/p>\n
\nWill you stop now?<\/em>
\nI am almost full<\/em>
\nOf sorrow,<\/em>
\nMy fields are flooded,<\/em>
\nMy mountains torn,<\/em>
\nStop now,<\/em>
\nCome perhaps tomorrow?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
\nThe rain will not relent,<\/em>
\nI am the Earth,<\/em>
\nIt is my job<\/em>
\nTo stand steady<\/em>
\nAnd repent<\/em><\/p>\n
\nMy children,<\/em>
\nWaging war,<\/em>
\nFor centuries,<\/em>
\nArmies in the rain,<\/em>
\nTearing bonds,<\/em>
\nBreaking ties,<\/em>
\nThey cannot hear<\/em>
\nMy cries<\/em>
\nOver the deluge:<\/em><\/p>\n
\nOf Earth and Sky<\/em>
\nFrom where you came,<\/em>
\nAnd where you die,<\/em>
\nStop this hate!<\/em>
\nStop destruction!<\/em>
\nDon\u2019t you see?<\/em>
\nYou are all shades<\/em>
\nOf Me!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
\nAnd my children blind,<\/em>
\nThey drown me in the<\/em>
\nColour of blood,<\/em>
\nI see crimson,<\/em>
\nWeaving it\u2019s way,<\/em>
\nDeep into my heart,<\/em>
\nFrom where I must begin again,<\/em>
\nTomorrow,<\/em>
\nOr perhaps the day after,<\/em>
\nWhen the pain ends,<\/em>
\nAnd flowers can grow.<\/em><\/p>\n
